This thesis tells in details of the artistic trend in the public facilities in Philadelphia, Los Angeles,Seattle and other cities,which could provide a quotable model for the development of Chinese public art.It points out that urban public art hasbecome one of the symbols of social development and cultural level.Public art is an art business card conveying urban culture,and artisitic public facilities are the key component of urban public art.It also introduces the public art construction of the Beijing Olympic from a cultural perspective,explores the possibilities of creating a new space for Beijing urban culture.And the public facilities for the Beijing Olympic have brought new opportunities for the city's public art development.
