Mutiny in Tumu' is one of the most influential events in Ming Dynasty(A. D. 368--644). In the event, the Hut--hut people played a special role. Thisthesis shows how they participated in the event, how they mediated betweenthe Oyirad people and the imperial court of Ming, and accounts for how theevent being settled peacefully in the end with a wealth of accurate historical data.
