摘要 现代英语(特别是美国英语)口语中,动词时态形式日趋简化,语序更动有时引起意义变化,传统上常与某时态难分难解的状语,今天交上了新朋友. In this essay, the following (and other) grammatical phenomena will be dealt with:(1) In BrE, esp. in spoken English, about 20% of the constructions with'adverbial of time plus Present Perfect' may take the form of 'adverbial denoting past time plus Present Perfect'. (2) In vulgar ArnE, esp. in the South, 'done plus past ptc' often stands for 'have/has plus 'past' ptc'. (3) In AmE, such a construction as 'If I knew it, I would have waited' may replace 'If I had known it I…'(4) Difference between'be + 'past' ptc' and 'get +'past' ptc' (5) Sometimes 'be 'past'ptc' may have two interpretations. (6) 'be+ 'past' ptc + non-prepositional object' may be found in AmE. (7) The omission of 'have/has' in Present Perfect etc. (8)AmE prefers Present Indefinite to Present Perfect in 'after-clause', if the predicate of the main clause is Future Indefinite.
