摘要
如何扩大词汇量,是英语学习者的一大难题。本文介绍了一种扩展词汇的有效途径——通过上下文及词形线索推测词义。笔者做了一项有关的教学研究,结果表明,接受了上述技能训练的实验组的成绩明显高于控制组,证明此方法卓有成效,有关训练很有必要。
This paper discusses a method of vucabulary erpansion-inferring word meaning fromcontext in reading and presents a teaching research in this aspect.The experimental groupreceives 2-month instruction on vocabulary inference skills while the control group doesnot.And the statistical analysis of the pretest and posttest results shows that the instruc-tion is highly effective.
