摘要
中国传统文化中既有需要弘扬的好的方面，又有不宜弘扬的不好的方面。中国传统文化的缺陷是多方面的，本文所论诸如对科学技术的漠视，缺乏实证科学的精神；过于强调道义的价值，缺乏注重功利的传统；缺乏平等观念，缺乏民主传统、权利意识和法制观念等只是举其数端而已。在弘扬优秀传统文化的同时，研究传统文化的缺陷与弊端，去芜存菁，扬长避短，使之适合现代化的需要，才是科学的、负责的态度。
The Chinese traditional culture has both the good and the bad aspects. Certainly the former should be carried forward, the latter shouldn't.Chinese traditional culture can be observed with many of its shortcomings, the paper analyses only a few of them: negligence of science and technology, lack of the spirit of experimentalism, attaching too much attention to moral value, material gain being belittled, lack of the idea of equality, deimocratic tradition, consciousness of right and the concept of legal system and etc. While inheriting and developing the traditional culture, a scientific and responsible attitude should be adopted to maximize favourable factors and minimize unfavourable ones of the traditional culture so as to meet the need for the modernization.
