摘要
汉族是中国最大的民族，也是世界上最大的民族，在学术上，对汉族进行人类学、民族学的研究在国内和国际学术界都有重要的学术价值和现实意义。９年前，即１９８７年６月２５—２７日在广西民族学院召开的“全国首次汉民族学术研讨会”揭开了新时期中国汉民族研究的序幕，９年后，即１９９６年１２月２５—２７日学者们再次聚集在广西民族学院相思湖畔，举行了’９６当代汉族学术讨论会暨广西民族学院汉民族研究中心成立大会，突出了对当代汉族的研究，意义重大，揭开了汉民族研究新的一页，本刊特将这次学术盛会部分学者的发言摘登发表。
Han people has the largest population in China as well as in the world, so ethnological and anthropological researches on Han people can be of academic value and momentous current signifi cance both in domestic and international academic circles. Form 25th to 27th in December, 1996,scholars from every part of the country met by Xiangsi Lake in the campus of Guangxi University for Nationalities, to attend the ’96 Contemporary Han Nationality Symposium and the establishing ceremony of Han Nationality Research Center, Guangxi University for Nationalities, which laid stress on the research of contemporary Han nationality. The establishment of the Center will be of great significance and start a new era of Han Nationality Research. Here, we present some of the addresses for you to enjoy.
