摘要
运用实地调查法和文献资料比较法，对中、美两国高等学校体育师资管理机构设置、管理形式、特点、职称晋升、考核与聘任等方面的问题进行了比较研究和分析。结论认为：由于两国国情和教育、体育发展程度不同，管理形式和特点差异明显。美国大学体育师资要求高学历，聘任实行合同制，专职与兼职教师兼容，教师流动性较大；中国高校体育师资学历与美国比较相对较低，职称评定实行终身制，职称年龄结构偏向老化，流动性较小。
A comparative study has been made of the management institutions, management forms and Characteristics,professional title set -ups and promotion, verification and employment of college physical education teachers between China and the U.S. It is concluded that marked differences exist in management forms and characteristics owing to different backgrounds levels of education and development of physical education. American college P.E. teachers, either full-time or part -time, should have a high degree of education and are employed under the contract system. Chinese college P.E. teachers have a relatively lower degree of education and enjoy life professional titles,the advanced ones are conferred upon a comparatively old group.
