论述了郭嵩焘洋务思想的发展阶段、思想来源、本末观及其具体主张 ,并对他的三个“为本”的思想提出了独特的看法 ,认为郭氏是洋务运动中最为激进的思想家 ,并孕育了早期维新思想的萌芽 ,但总的说来并没有超出“中学为体、西学为用”
The developing periods of Guo Songtao's thoughts on Westernization, its origin, his views on “the Fundmental and the lncidental”, and his concrete proposals are discussed. The author also puts forward his distinctive views about Guo's three thoughts on “the Fundmental” and regards Guo as the most radical thinker in Westernization Movement. Although Guo's proposals were pregnant with the early modernization thoughts, it still didn't overstep “Chinese Learning for Substance, Western Learning for Function”.
