Abstract In the past few years,quite a number of articles concerning the building of tourism discipline have been published,reaching a culmination of its study.This article makes an introduction to the study of tourism discipline system both at home and abroad and furthermore makes an assessment of the characteristics of tourism theory system.In conclusion,the author thinks that theory terminology and concept are the basis of building tourism discipline.The author,therefore,expounds some concepts such as “tourism products” and “tourism market”in the study of tourism theory system from theoretical angle.
