摘要
《西游记》里唐僧师徒中的次要人物沙僧也是一个具有个性的艺术典型。本文立足于取经队伍整体,在各主要形象的对照与联系中,通过内部矛盾的演化过程把握沙僧性格的主要特征及其变化发展,并从作者叙写人物的艺术空白入手。
Abstract Although he is only one of the minor characters in the novel The Journey to the West,the monk Sha Seng(Sandy)is a typical artistic figure with special characteristics.The present paper discusses the main characteristics and the development of Sha Sengs character through the analysis of the evolution of the contradictions among the master and the three disciples,who are considered as a whole and whose relations are studied closely in a comparative perspective.By examining the deliberate void in artistic creation in the novel,the author of this paper tries to reveal the social critical significance reflected in the character of Sha Seng.
