Deng Xiaoping thought on market-oriented economy is based upon the three-level implications of the concept of socialism. This thought encompasses such a complete system as of the establishment of a pluralistic ownership structure, the formation of a price mechanism of a competitive nature and the creation of an environment of an open and just competition. Deng′s unique thinking mode indicates that the ″practice criterion″ for judging truth (theory of aim) and the ″value criterion″ for judging practice (theory of right and wrong) are logically in complete unity with each other.
