摘要
传世的汉魏六朝文献中,有相当一部分与都城、宫室或佛寺相关,如《两都赋》、《两京赋》、《三都赋》、《鲁灵光殿赋》、《景福殿赋》、《殿赋》、《中寺碑》、《郢州晋安寺碑》等。根据其中对于建筑装饰的描绘可知,当时的大型建筑内外,凡人们进出观望所及之处,如屋顶、檐口、斗栱、楹柱、门窗、外墙、台基勾栏以及殿内的藻井、梁架、壁面等,皆遍布装饰。虽然结合后人注疏,可以在一定程度上了解赋中所述的装饰部位、大致做法与形式特点,但由于缺少形象资料,难以确知其具体样式。本文拟据文献中的描述,对照现存实物及考古发现,就魏晋南北朝时期的建筑装饰做法及传承等问题谈一些看法。
The existing literature of the period of the Han, Wei and Six Dynasties contain a lot
of references to cities, royal palace and Buddhist temples. We learn from them that decora-
tion covered the visible parts of the then large buildings such as the ceiling, bracket, pillar,
door, window, and external wall. A comparison of the literal description with the archaeo-
logical discovery reveals that a large quantity of foreign elements existed in these decora-
tions, which, however, were well accommodated within the local tradition stylistically and
technically. These foreign elements, however unique they may be, were of only secondary
and partial significance. On the contrary, the Chinese ritualism is identified as an implicit
force governing the development of the architecture and architectural decoration of the pe-
riod.
