摘要
伊丽莎白和凯瑟琳是生活在18世纪末与19世纪前期的英国女性作家简·奥斯丁和艾米莉·勃朗特所塑造的两位具有反抗精神和独立人格的新女性形象,她们都执着地追求平等的地位和自由的爱情,从她们面对爱情的态度以及所遭受的命运的不同可以看出当时女性意识的觉醒。本文通过对两者的比较,总结出两位女作家的爱情观与婚姻观。
Elizabeth and Catherine were new woman images with resistance spirit and independent personality created by British female writers Jane Austen and Emily Bronte in the end of 18th century and early19th centuries,they both pursued equal social position and liberal love,women's self- consciousness can be seen from their attitude toward love and fate they experienced. This paper compared the two girls,summarizing love and marriage values of the two woman writers.
