摘要
在现代英语中出现了越来越多的名词作定语的现象。名词定语究竟是偶然的现象还是有规律可循,复数名词是否可以作定语都是英语教学中许多教师和学生难以解答和理解的问题。从英语中存在的大量名词单复数作定语的现象中寻找规律,有利于广大教师和学生更好地理解这一现象,明确语言形式服务于语言表达的意义这一基本原则。
More and more nouns are serving as attributes in modern English.Whether attribute nouns are fortuitous phenomena or whether plural nouns can be attributes have been disputable among teachers and students.This thesis endeavors to sum up some rules from some typical examples,aiming at helping the teachers and students have a better understand of these phenomena.Clear this basic principle of serving for the significance of language.
