Numerous images,all simple,but vivid,and all showing differences between Chinese and Western cultures,recently became popular among Internet surfers in China.The images were from the photo album,entitled East Meets West,created by Liu Yang,a young Chinese designer.Born in Beijing in 1976,Liu moved to Germany,with her parents,when she was 13.After she graduated from Berlin University of the Arts,she traveled to and worked in London and New York.In 2004,she started a design studio in Berlin.Her experiences,in both China and Germany,have helped her see the differences in Chinese and Western cultures. Yuxue Moli,or Jasmine,a Chinese woman who is living in Germany,offers her comments,based on her understanding of the Chinese and Western cultures,on the images.
