Gayu Jin, a Miao woman, after years of visiting Beijing to supply goods for other shop owners, opened a trading post of her own in Beijing Panjiayuan Market in 1997. She sells Miao items. She is the first Miao merchant at that market. Coinciding with the development of her business, Gayu and her family have been enjoying a well-off life.
