Recently, Chinese archaeologists have rediscovered the Xiaohe Tombs in Lop Nur, a desert in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.The tombs were first found by Swedish archaeologist Folke Bergman in 1934, and then mysteriously disappeared again. With an area of about 2,000 square meters, the Xiaohe Tombs were elevated on a sand dune six to seven meters high.
