摘要
翁方纲是清代乾嘉时期著名金石学家,一生嗜好金石碑帖,精于鉴赏。他不仅搜罗广泛,阅目无数,而且态度审慎,以眼见为实。其辑录金石文字的主要目的不是当时众多考据学家所津津乐道的考证经史,而是鉴赏书法文字源流。
As a famous epigrapher in Qing Dynasty,WENG Fang-gang collects and appreciates inscriptions on ancient bronzes and stone tablets throughout his lifetime.His large and varied collections indicate his serious attitude and devotion to epigraphy.Different from most archaeologists,WENG Fang-gang studies inscriptions on ancient bronzes and stone tablets for appreciating calligraphy instead of investigating classical works.
