摘要
包对算法是目前普遍应用的测量网络有效带宽的方法,但它有较明显的缺陷,比如在测量过程中,不能主动探测干扰业务,需要发送大量包对,然后用很复杂的过滤算法对测量数据进行处理,才能获得一个相对准确的测量结果。本文对包对算法做了改进,将发送的一个包对,改为两个大包对和两个小包对间隔发送,使得包对算法能主动探测干扰业务,从而简化了实验数据的处理过程。本方法适合工程实时应用。
Packer pair algorithm has been widely used to measure available bandwidth,but it has several obvi- ous defects.For example,it can not actively detect the cross-traffic in the procedure of measurement.On the contrary it needs very complex filtering algorithm to obtain a relatively accurate result.This paper proposes an improved available bandwidth measurement method based on packet-pair,in which the cross-traffic in the process of measurement can be detected actively.The novel algorithm can make the available bandwidth measurement faster and simpler than the traditional schemes,and may be used for engineering applications.
