晚清时期 ,维新派小说理论家与辛亥革命派小说理论家在中西小说比较中表现出不同的审美趣味。历史性地看 ,主要趋向为 :一是对比较对象的审视由不对等趋于相对对等 ;二是在构建新小说文本的努力上 ,由倡导模仿域外小说到为我所用 ;
In the late Qing Dynasty, different aesthetic tastes appeared in the comparison of Western and Chinese novels between two groups of novel theorists, the supporters of modernization and those who stood for the 1911 Revolution. The main tendency historically laid in three aspects: Firstly, the view to the objects compared changed from unequal to relatively equal; Secondly, as for the efforts of composing new novel versions, people began to benefit from the novel outside China instead of initiating imitation; Thirdly, the aesthetic attitude transformed from misunderstanding to objective commentary.
