摘要
贝克认为对人的心理发展的认识和理解是探讨人的价值学习和教育的重要背景材料。贝克认为不存在一种随年龄增长而出现的总体上的提高,“发展”未必意味着改善,从儿童期到青春期道德方面的变化是对改变的生活环境的最佳适应。他认为儿童、青少年和成年人的道德是平等的,成人教师在道德教育中仍起重要作用,最好的教育方式是“对话”。
Clive Beck holds that, the knowledge and understandings of a person's psychological development are important background materials of inquiring into a person's study and education of values. He has been paying close attention to the theory of stages of moral development. He maintains that there is no average improvement with age growth, that 'develop ment' does dot necessarily imply improvement and that the changes in morality from childhood to adolescence represent appropriate adaptation to a changing life situation. He recommends that, on average, children and adolescents are adults' moral equals, that the adult teachers still play an important role in moral education and that the best approach is 'dia logue'.
