《西江月世事一场大梦》作于何时、为谁而作历来存在不同看法,从中秋的本来含义,从苏轼中秋诗词的惯例,从苏轼与苏辙兄弟的情谊角度分析,《西江月世事一场大梦》应该是写给苏辙的;从该词表露的情感,从苏轼在黄州、儋州所处的地理位置与苏辙所处的地理位置分析,《西江月世事一场大梦》作于儋州的可能性相对大一些。
Opinions on when and for whom 'The Moon over the West River: World Affairs Are Only a Dream' was written are always varied. Through the analysis of the original meaning of middle autumn day, the conventions of Su Shi's mid-autumn verses and the brotherhood between Su Shi and Su Zhe, this poem must write to Su Zhet and through the emotion that this verse expresses and the analysis of Su Shi's location in Dan Zhou and Huang Zhou and the geographic location of Shu Zhe, this verse was more likely written in Dan Zhou.
