摘要
现代远程教育具有教学层次多样性、技术先进性、学习自主性、资源共享性等特征。现代远程教育给数字图书馆的发展带来机遇和挑战。它不仅使馆藏资源数字化、共享化,存取网络化、虚拟化,而且对图书馆员提出更高的要求。为此图书馆员应努力提高自身素质,充分发挥图书馆的教育职能,建设开发好信息资源数据库,为用户提供智能检索服务,为远程教育的发展提供更有力的保障。
This paper discusses the basic concept and some characteristics of modern distance learning as well as the advantages of digital libraries in modern distance learning.It further analyzes the development direction of digital libraries in order to meet the need of modern distance learning.
