摘要
兴起于17世纪的玄学派诗歌给当时的英国诗界带来了新鲜的空气,但是,其特立独行的风格却在以后的近三百年间鲜被关注。20世纪的人们却在玄学派诗歌中找到了共鸣,并把玄学诗歌称为英语诗的最高峰。本文拟从玄学诗歌的历史背景和艺术魅力以及新批评派的影响等三个方面,对玄学派诗歌在20世纪复兴的根源加以探究。
Metaphysical poetry appeared in the seventeenth century and it brought forth fresh air in the English poetry.Though its unique style was seldom appreciated in the following three hundred years,the twentieth century people valued metaphysical poetry very much and regarded it as the best of English poetry.This essay attempts to explore the reasons why it revived in ration to its historical background,art and the influence of new criticism.
