A Short Introduction to Fine Brush Paintings of Human Figures

摘要 工笔人物画是以线描为骨干、工整细腻地表现人物对象的绘画手法,早期主要采用墨线勾勒的技法,设色简约,构图富有装饰意味。而自汉到宋,经过历代画师的创新和改良,加之对佛画技法和西域技法的引入,使得工笔人物画无论是线条,还是色彩都日渐丰富,内容也日益扩大。元、明时期,由于工笔人物画不再是主流,其发展也只是在复古前人的基础上略加改良。到了现代,工笔人物画在传统的基础上汲取了世界范围绘画及现代绘画流派的艺术养分,而形成了具有现代意识和现代手法的新工笔画。 Traditional fine brush paintings use neat lines to give detailed profile.Early paintings mainly use ink lines,the picture is usually in plain colors and the design is often decorative.From Han to Song Dynasties,innovations and improvement were made and new techniques from the West were introduced.Expressions in lines,color plan,and even in content were greatly enriched.In Yuan and Ming Dynasties,fine brush figure paintings were not the mainstream,and the trend was a return to the ancients,with little or only minor improvements.In modern times fine brush figure paintings,while carrying on the tradition,draw widely from various art styles and schools over the world and is assuming a brand new shape with distinct modern awareness.
