摘要
利用"前景化"理论探究乔纳森.斯威夫特的《一个小小的建议》中的语言常规偏离和社会常规偏离现象可以发现:"偏离"是斯威夫特的反讽艺术的主要手段,作者巧妙地把常规偏离和社会偏离相结合,揭露了社会现实,讽刺了统治阶级的残酷无情,突出了为民请愿的主题思想。
This paper,based on the theory of foregrounding,explores the phenomena of linguistic and extra-linguistic deviation in A Modest Proposal by Jonathan Swift.The explorations reveal deviation is the major means employed by Swift to achieve ironic effects.By combining linguistic and extra-linguistic deviation effectively,Swift exposes the terrible social reality,mocks at the ruling class and the oppressors sharply and petitions them for the poor.
