摘要
杰克·伦敦是美国杰出的批判现实主义作家,被誉为"美国无产阶级文学之父"。但他不是一位真正的无产阶级作家,因为他在接受马克思主义的同时,也接受了达尔文的进化论、斯宾塞的社会进化论和尼采的"超人"哲学。世界观的矛盾和思想的撞击充分体现在他的两部动物小说《野性的呼唤》和《白牙》中。
Jack London was an outstanding American realism critic and was entitled 'the father of American proletarian literature'.But strictly speaking,he was not a genuine proletarian writer because he was influenced by Darwin's evolutionism,Spenser's social evolutionism and Nietzsche's 'superman' philosophy as well as he accepted Marxism.The contradiction of his world view and the conflict of his ideology were reflected in his two animal novels: the Call of the Wild and White Fang.
