摘要
对于《秧歌》和《赤地之恋》的历史评价,学术界向来有着严重的分歧。实际上,这两部作品乃是张爱玲的败笔,毫无可取之处。一方面,它们完全是违背创作规律、违背艺术良心的"绿背"小说;另一方面,因为脱离生活,所以这两部小说人物苍白,文字干涩。
The academic circle sharply differs in its evaluation of Eileen Chang's The Rice Sprout Song and Naked Earth for their historic place.Actually,these two works are her failure.On the one hand,they violate writing norms and conscience about art—they are 'hackney writing.' On the other hand,she creates pale characters and her language is dry owing to her creation divorced from real life.
