摘要
爱情和复仇是文学作品中永恒的题材,也是人类永恒延续的主要情感因素。《呼啸山庄》中女作家艾米莉通过对一系列超自然现象的描述,使得贯穿爱情主题和复仇主题得到了进一步的体现。小说中的神秘成份,都具有一定的精神深度,因此,它不仅没有降低事件和人物的真实性与可信性,反而在读者心中引起了更深层次的共鸣。
Love and revenge is not only a constant theme in the history of literature,it is also a principal component of human survival.In her novel Wuthering Heights Emily Bronte has the theme further embodied by means of describing a series of supernatural phenomena.All the mysterious elements in the novel are provided with a spiritual depth.Therefore,they don t degrade the credibility of the events and characters of the novel but,instead,strike a deeper chord in the hearts of readers.
