So far Utopia has been read as a description of am ideal community for mankind. However,a deconstructive interpretation on the basis of its original text reveals that the traditional understanding is a dream of textual integrity and totality. Underneath the surface of an ideal commonwealth, the author is in fact talking about a paradox:the ideal society and its fictionality. With the two ignored but very important letters and various puns Thomas More self-deconstructs his text.
