在日本戏剧发展的过程中,莎士比亚一直是最重要的西方经典剧作家之一。自从明治时代他的剧作被介绍到日本之后,莎士比亚戏剧在日本便一直成为剧场能量的源泉和现代戏剧的基础。
Shakespeare has been one of the most important playwrights of Western Classics in the theatre history in Japan.Since the introduction of his plays at the Meiji Period,Shakespeare s plays have served as the fountain for theatrical energy as well as the basis of the modern theatre until now.
