摘要
本文系统论述了军队在美国南方政治重建中所起的作用。第一 ,军队打击了各种恐怖组织的残暴活动 ,维护了联邦统一 ,为国会民主重建南方创造了稳定的社会环境。第二 ,军队干预南方的行政与立法 ,改造了南方的政治。第三 ,在军队的保护下 ,黑人在美国历史上第一次行使选举权并步入政坛 ;各州通过了民主的州宪法 ,建立了黑白混合的州政权 。
This thesis expounds systematically the army's role in the South political Reconstruction.First ,the army suppressed the racialist's terrorism, safeguarded the unity of America, provided a steady society for the Congress to reconstruct the South democratically.Second, the army intervened the administration and legislation of the South ,reformed the politics of the South.Third , with the help of the army,the blackmen first exercised the right to vote and stepped the government in American history .The democratic State governments composed by blacks and whites were established. The development of the South political democratization stepped forward.
