文中阐述了林业发展战略研究的任务及其必要性,还分析了我国基本国情和林业面临的主要问题。根据我国自然生态和社会经济条件在地域上的分异,作者提出了关于林业战略布局和重点的构想。文章就各重点区域所处的地位、作用、存在问题和解决途径分别作了具体论述。
