摘要 Objective:ToAortic aneurysm (AA) is the permanent, irreversible, asymmetrical arterial dilation to at least 50% of the normal diameter. Aortic dissection (AD) may occur when the aorta enlarges to reach the tensile limit, which is the most lethal condition because of its rapid progression and high mortality. There is no doubt that inflammation is involved in the pathogenesis of AA and AD. Inflammasome, a large multi-protein complex in the cytosol regulating interleukin-1β (IL-1β) production, has critical roles on the pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases. This review aims to summarize the current progress of the inflammasomes on AA/AD-related proteins and signal pathways to further explore the role of the inflammasomes in the progression of AA and AD.
