摘要
梁任公《清代学术概论》单行本出版前,曾有录副供友人过目的稿本以及连载于《改造》杂志的版本。胡适曾寓目任公的稿本副本,并将自己的意见写成两通长笺先后寄给任公,任公不仅从中吸取意见,补充了初稿的不足,同时也对胡适的学术见解有了更深入的认识。俞国林先生将稿本与杂志本加以汇校,推出《清代学术概论》校订本,为读者寻绎梁、胡学缘,了解《清代学术概论》成书过程中的改写及其原因提供了材料与线索。同时,细绎《清代学术概论》校订本提供的异文,也能看出梁、胡二人学术立场的分歧,以及梁任公撰作、改写此书时为弥合或兼容此种分歧所作的努力。
Before the publication of Intellectual Trends in the Qing Period(Qingdai xueshu gailun清代学术概论)as a monograph,Liang Qichao had sent copies of the original manuscript to friends to look over and published it in serialized form in the Japanese magazine Kaizō(“Reformation”Gaizao改造).Hu Shi had taken a look at the copied manuscript and wrote two successive long letters with his own opinion to Liang.Liang not only took in Hu’s suggestions and supplemented the shortcomings of the first draft,but also became deeply acquainted with Hu’s academic views.Yu Guolin has compiled the different manuscript and serial versions and published them as Revised Edition of the Qingdai xueshu gailun,which probes the scholarly connections between Liang and Hu,providing research materials with clues for a comprehensive understanding of Liang’s revisions during the publication history of Qingdai xueshu gailun and his reasons for doing so.Meanwhile,a careful interpretation of the manuscript variants provided in the revised edition of Qingdai xueshu gailun can reveal the divergence in Liang’s and Hu’s academic standpoints,as well as the effort Liang made to bridge or embrace these divergencies during the writing and revising of this book.
