摘要
隐喻是批评性语篇分析的重要范畴之一,为其提供了新的研究思路和方法。通过梳理国内外学者对隐喻的阐释与应用,从不同角度对隐喻进行了界定,指出隐喻是一种涉及框架之间概念投射的认知过程。隐喻可以用于多模态语篇中,对现实世界的话语建构发挥作用。隐喻还能激发人们的情感并影响其意识形态。然而,隐喻研究需要更完整的理论基础和操作性更好的分析工具。虽然隐喻常用于英语政治语篇分析,但是在汉语中不太常用。在今后的研究中,我们需要综合现有理论,完善隐喻的理论基础,探索适用性更强的分析方法,使隐喻更好地用于批评性语篇分析。
Metaphor is one of the most important categories of Critical Discourse Analysis(CDA),which provides new ideas and methods for the development of CDA.This paper presents the definitions of metaphor from different perspectives by combing through the interpretations and application of metaphor by CDA scholars both in China and abroad,pointing out that metaphor is a cognitive process involving conceptual projection between frames.Metaphor could be used in multi-modal discourse and could play a role in the discursive construction of the real world.Metaphor could arouse people’s emotions and influence their ideology.However,a study of metaphor needs more complete theoretical foundation and more operational analytical tools.Metaphor is usually used in the analysis of political discourse in English,but not so commonly used in Chinese.In future research,it needs to synthesize the existing theories to improve the theoretical basis of metaphor and explore more applicable analytical methods to make metaphor better used in CDA.
