本访谈围绕许钧教授关于翻译的实践品格的观点展开。许钧教授认为,讨论翻译的实践品格,是对何为翻译的回答,也是对人类历史上翻译活动所具有的基质和特点的分析。他概括并论述了翻译的三重实践品格:忠实于原文文本和原文作者,尊重差异、促成交流,创造新生命、新事物。许钧教授希望相关讨论能进一步加深认识,使翻译之责得以更好履行。
This interview focuses on Professor Xu Jun's views on the traits of translation as a social practice.Professor Xu believes that to discuss the topic is to answer what translation is and to analyze the matrix and characteristics of translation activities in human history.He summarizes and expounds on three traits of translation as a social practice:to be faithful to the original text and the original author,to value differences and facilitate communication,and to create new life and new things.Professor Xu hopes that the discussion can further deepen understanding and the responsibilities of translation can be better fulfilled.
