摘要
湖南津市孽龙岗1号墓出土一件持莲青铜俑,长期以来被认定为"幻人俑"或"羽人俑"。本文从图像学、宗教学等视角对该俑的身份和功能进行再考证,认为该俑原型实为犍陀罗佛三尊像中一手持莲、一手施无畏印的观音菩萨,而其在墓葬中的职能却是道教信仰中引导墓主升仙的仙官。该俑的发现进一步证实了早期佛教图像由长江上游向下游、由干流向支流传播的路径,对研究2—5世纪长江中游民众对佛教的接受状况也具重要意义。
Tomb 1 at Nielonggang of Jinshi in Hunan yielded one bronze figurine holding lotus,which has long been believed to be"magician figurine"or"feathered figurine".This paper further studies the identity and function of this figurine from the perspectives of iconology and religion and believes that the prototype of this figurine is actually Bodhisattva holding lotus in one hand and abhaya mudra in the other hand in images of the three Gandhara buddhas and that its function in the tomb is an immortal guiding the tomb occupant to heaven in the Taoist belief.The discovery of this figurine further proves the spreading route of early Buddhist images from the upper reaches of the Yangtze river to its lower reaches and from the main stream to tributaries.It harbors important significance to the study of people’s acceptance of Buddhism in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in the 2-5 th centuries.
