摘要
本文主要研究托马斯·默顿的《庄子》译本即《庄子之道》是怎么产生的。首先论述了默顿在译介《庄子》之前对道家和中国文化的喜欢,这成了他译介《庄子》这本书时的文化预备,接着论述了天主教著名学者吴经熊在默顿翻译《庄子》过程中所扮演的重要角色。本文最后论述了作为文本的《庄子之道》的形成过程。
The text mainly studies on how the Way of Chuang Tzu,the translation version of Chuang Tz of Thomas Merton was produced and in the process of producing it.It is believed that before Merton translated Chuang tzu,he had already a precise comprehension of the Chinese culture,including Chuang Tzu,the philosopher,and his monograph Chuang Tzu.He admired of oriental religions and wisdom so that he was motivated to translate Chuang Tzu.The only difficulty for his translation is that he never learn the Chinese language.So Dr.John C.H.Wu played an important role to supply Merton to complete this translation task.The text last discusses in detail the formation process of the Way of Chuang Tzu as a text.
