摘要
西夏被蒙古消灭后,迁徙至全国各地的元代唐兀人与其他民族开展了多维度、深层次的文化交流。就姓名而言,唐兀人或是继续使用西夏时期的党项人姓氏,或是使用唐代与元代皇室赐姓,或是仿效汉人,从祖先或本人名讳中取单字为姓,亦或是隐去自己的姓氏,以受蒙古文化影响所形成的“部族名”“数字名”“神事名”行世。唐兀人同时使用多种姓名的现象反映了他们对蒙、汉、党项等多元文化的认同。元朝中后期到明初,中华传统姓名文化对唐兀人的影响越来越大;相较之下,13—14世纪的域外文明对唐兀人姓名文化的影响极其有限。姓名文化的变迁,既为东迁唐兀人与定居地周边其他民族形成交往交流交融的共生关系提供了历史条件,也在客观上增进了元代各民族文化的共同性,加强了中华民族的内在凝聚力。
After Xi Xia’s downfall by the Mongols,Tangut people of Yuan Dynasty migrates to various places across the country and make cultural exchanges with other ethnic groups in a multi-dimensional,multi-layered way. As for their names,Tangut people either continue to use Tangut surnames from Xi Xia Dynasty,or use surnames given by Tang Dynasty or Yuan royalty,or follow the example of Han people by taking a single word from the name of their ancestors or themselves as their surname,or hide their original surnames by taking tribal name,numeric name or god’s name under the influence of Mongolian culture. The fact that Tangut people using multiple names reflects their identification with multipleethnic pluralistic cultures,such as Mongolian,Han and Tangut culture. Between the late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty,traditional Chinese name culture increasingly impacts on Tangut people,whereas the influence of cultures outside of China is rather limited during 13-14th century. The shifting of their name culture not only provides historical condition for the forming of the harmonious symbiotic relationship of interactions,exchanges,and integration between Tangut people moving east and other ethnic groups adjacent to their settlements,but also objectively enhances the cultural commonality of all ethnic groups of Yuan dynasty and the innate cohesion of Chinese nation.
