摘要
女性员工在劳动力市场是否处于弱势一直是社会学和经济学领域里的重要议题。为了检验收入差异到底是否存在,并且排除其他可能影响收入情况的要素的干扰,本次研究仅观察了性别和年龄对好莱坞电影明星片酬的综合影响,利用回归模型对1975年至2015年253位好莱坞电影明星的片酬进行研究。研究结果表明:好莱坞电影明星的片酬随着年龄的增长而提高,但是在到达一定年龄后停止增长;女影星的平均片酬在35岁时达到最高,之后片酬逐年下降,而男影星则是在52岁时片酬达到最高,之后片酬保持稳定。
Whether female employees are in a disadvantaged position in the labor market has been an important issue in the fields of sociology and economics.Aiming to test the existence of income differences and to eliminate the interference of other factors that may affect the income situation,the research observes the comprehensive influence of gender and age on the remuneration of Hollywood movie stars.A regression model is adopted to explore the remuneration of 253 Hollywood movie stars from 1975 to 2015.The results reveal that the remuneration of Hollywood movie stars increases with age,but stops increasing after reaching a certain age.The average pay of female movie stars tends to peak at 35 and then declines year after year,while that of male movie stars generally peaks at 52 and remains stable afterwards.
