摘要 With a number of attractive properties, including a wide spectrum, miniature transceivers,terabit-persecond link capacities, and a high energy efficiency, the terahertz-based communication has been attracting more and more attention. Low altitude area in near space, approximate 20 km to 50 km height,is the main flight domain of most near space aircrafts. In this paper, considering the hypersonic vehicle as a sink in terahertz communication, the transmission property of the terahertz signal is analyzed. Plasma sheath will form around the surface of the vehicle due to the compression and pyrogenation by the shock wave generated during the hypersonic flight. Thus, the signal transmission stage is divided into two sections,i. e.,the transmission in atmosphere and the transmission in plasma sheath, to study their property, respectively. Energy absorption by polar molecule in atmosphere is the main influencing factor in section one, while the attenuation of signal propagation combined with the reflection effect leads to the loss of the terahertz wave in section two. Compared with the transmission property of laser link, the terahertz-band link is more suitable for communication in low altitude area of near space.
