The equipment information model of substation is established by two-dimensional form of image and text such as equipment account, design drawing, photo or video, which lacks intuitiveness and does not have three-dimensional real scene characteristics, and also can not reflect the actual size, position and spatial relationship between equipment. The mistake precaution system of substation also adopts the way of two-dimensional,which can not simulate the operation interaction between personnel and equipment in practice, resulting in incomplete risk identification before operation. In order to make up for the above defects and improve the safety performance of substations, this paper introduces three-dimensional modeling technology in substations.Firstly, the environment and equipment in substation are modeled by three-dimensional laser scanner.Secondly, the three-dimensional security boundary is set up in substation three-dimensional topology. Finally, the three-dimensional technology and mistake precaution technology are fused to realize the first application of three-dimensional anti-error system in substation.Application of the three-dimensional error prevention system in 500 kV Xianlingshan substation successfully verified the effectiveness of the system.
