摘要
北京图书馆协会是中国历史上第一个图书馆协会,其产生由当时的社会外在驱动力和图书馆事业自身的内在驱动力共同推动而成,而中国历史上第一个图书馆协会产生于北京也源于北京具有地利人和的优势。虽然1918年初次成立未予立案,但后在中华教育改进社的介入下,北京图书馆协会最终于1924年正式成立,而且其在地方图书馆协会的筹备和成立过程中发挥了重要作用,在当时充当了地方图书馆协会领导者的角色。正是北京图书馆协会的星火,才最终形成了地方图书馆协会普遍成立的燎原之势,才会有中华图书馆协会的创立。
Beijing Library Association,the first Library Association in China,was established based on the external driving force of the society and the internal driving force of the library itself.It appeared in Beijing because of the geographical location and advantages of Beijing.Although the initial establishment in 1918 was not filed,Beijing Library Association was finally officially established in 1924 with the intervention of China Education Improving Institute.It played an important role in the preparation of local library associations,and acted as the leader of the associations at that time.It is the spark of the Beijing Library Association that finally becomes a prairie fire for the appearance of library associations,and the establishment of the later China Library Association.
