摘要
电影作为文化的一个重要体现,势必会涉及大量的文化负载词,这对于翻译工作者来说是一个巨大的挑战。《哪吒之魔童降世》这一国漫巨作成功夺得2019年度电影票房冠军,并荣登中国影史票房榜第二位,成为"国漫之光",并成功走出国门,走向世界。由于语言不同,所以国外上映版必定会加上英文字幕,字幕对于国外观影者来说十分重要,因为这是他们了解中国文化的关键途径,所以字幕翻译就尤为重要。纽马克的交际翻译理论在中英翻译中发挥着重要的作用,所以文章将以《哪吒之魔童降世》为例,分析交际翻译理论在文化负载词翻译中的运用,并从中总结经验,找到适合电影字幕翻译的策略,为字幕翻译者提供一些帮助,为中国电影走向世界贡献自己的绵薄之力。
As an important manifestation of culture,movies are bound to involve a large number of cultural-loaded words,which is a huge challenge for translators."Nezha:Birth of the Demon Child",a national comic masterpiece,has successfully won the 2019 box office championship and ranked second in China’s box office history,becoming the"|light of national comics"and successfully going out of China to the world.Because of the differences in language,English subtitles will be added to the foreign version,which is very important to foreign audiences because it is a key way for them to understand Chinese culture,so subtitle translation is especially important.Therefore,this paper will take Newmark’s communicative translation theory as an example to analyze the application of communicative translation theory in the translation of cultural-loaded words,and draw lessons from it to find a suitable strategy for the translation of movie subtitles,so as to provide some help for subtitle translators and contribute to the development of Chinese movies to go abroad.
