文章旨在探讨常见修辞手法在英语小说中的应用及其效果,以赫尔曼·黑塞的《玻璃球游戏》为例进行详细分析。文章首先概述了修辞手法的渗透意义,随后从比喻的形象描绘、象征的深层寓意,到拟人的情感投射,再到排比与对偶的节奏掌控,全面分析了这些修辞手法的精妙运用,使得小说情节更为生动有趣,人物塑造更加立体鲜活,还赋予了作品更深层次的思想内涵,为读者更好地理解和欣赏英语小说的文学艺术价值提供了新的视角。
This article aims to explore the application and effects of common rhetorical devices in English novels,using Hermann Hesse's The Glass Ball Game as an example for detailed analysis.The article first outlines the penetrating significance of rhetorical devices,and then comprehensively analyzes how these rhetorical devices are skillfully used to make the plot of the novel more vivid and interesting,the character portrayal more three-dimensional and vivid,and to endow the work with deeper ideological connotations.This provides a new perspective for readers to better understand and appreciate the literary and artistic value of English novels.
