摘要
本文尝试借助百度指数来考察新词语的热度变化,以此间接考察新词语的生命力。对2006年年度新词语的个案分析显示,这种方法是可行的,百度指数可以显示新词语的热度变化和生命轨迹。研究发现,新词语的百度搜索指数线主要有凸起型、下降型和上升型三种;类推产生的系列新词语的热度既有差别,也有一定的相关性;新词语的热度主要受新词语所指事物的受关注度和词语之间的竞争关系影响,反映了语言与社会之间的共变关系。
This paper investigates the hotness of new words based on Baidu Index,by which one can determine the vitality of these words.A case study on new words in 2006 demonstrates the applicability of this approach,which shows that Baidu Index can reflect the changing paths of new words.The index of these words exhibits three types of diachronic activity curves:hump,descending slope,and ascending slope.It has found that there are differences and correlations concerning the hotness between the new words generated by the same word formation.Moreover,the vitality of new words is found to be related to the attention to new things and the competition between words,which thus shows the covariance between language and society.
