The Wuji Mountain Stele recorded the application for faShi of Wuji Mountain by the people from Changshan Commandery and Yuanshi County, aimed to narrate the detailed process of applying for faShi and declare the legitimacy of possessing faShi.The aim of establishing the stele, connecting with technical conditions, regional tradition and other factors, makes the text of the Wuji Mountain Stele appearing as the form of“document—narration—motto—name list”.The Wuji Mountain Stele is one of a group of steles established in Yuanshi County of Changshan Commandery for the mountains and rivers sacrifices. With the help of the stele group, this paper researches into the regional society of Changshan Commandery in the Late Eastern Han,which concludes that the stele group reflects a local society where governments, aristocrats and robbers competed with each other, and also reflects on the issue of“the Yellow-Turban perished the Han Dynasty”
