摘要
相比于儒道关系、儒墨关系、儒法关系,儒家与名家的关系较少受到关注。见诸《孔丛子·公孙龙》的孔穿与公孙龙的论辩,则是探讨儒名关系的典型素材。从中可见,儒家与名家对辩说之意义与功能有不同理解,即名家主要关注论辩在逻辑与知识上的价值,而儒家则致力于揭示其对政治伦理的价值。因此,儒家特别强调以指导性的"理"为论辩的基础,并首先将"辩说"视为服务于论理与政治理念("道")的手段。正基于此,名家基于知识与论证进路的论辩观念才会招致儒家"小辨而毁大道"的指责。
Compare to the relationships between the Confucians and Taoism,Moist and the Legalists,the relationships between the Confucians and Logicians have risen relatively less attention to the previous scholars.The debates between Kong Chuan and Gongsun Long can be seen as typical materials which can explain this.In this text,we can see the how the Confucians and Logicians different in their understanding of the meaning and function of debates.That is,the Logicians focus more on the logic aspects of debates,Confucians,on the other hand,try to reveal the political and moral aspects.Therefore,the Confucians emphasis on debating on the basis of“li”,which is of instructive meaning.Moreover,Confucians tend to see debates as a tool of defending its political beliefs.Because of this,the debates of Logicians,which is based on knowledge and reason has brought criticism from Confucians.
