摘要
西方的哲理和科技一直希望以理想化的方式来改造人,重塑人的生成方式和存在方式。儒家不同意这种改造途径,认为人的生养离不开家庭及家人关系。人的特性和品质唯有在家中才能健全地培育出来,因为家居于理想和经验之间、精神和身体之间、个人与国家之间。而这一切"之间"都源于人的生存时间或原时间,也就是过去与未来互补对生而纠缠叠加着的"中间"。
Western philosophy and technology have been hoping to transform human beings in an idealized manner,in order to reshape the way of human generation and existence.However,Confucianism does not agree with this manner,for it holds that human reproduction is inseparable from the family and the family relationship.Only in family can human features and characters be soundly formed,since family lies between the ideal and experience,between mind and body,between the individual and the state.All these"betweens"are derived from the time of human existence or what is sometimes the original time,that is,the"middle"where the past and the future complement and intertwine with each other.
